France: Getting to Collonges
From Geneva (Switzerland), it is possible to go to the campus by different ways.

Students who know the time (day and hour) of their arrival can fax the information to the school or e-mail two weeks in advance. A Notice of Arrival Form is available online and it should be completed at least one week in advance if transportation from the airport is needed.  Or you may go on ACA web page, click on Preparing to Travel, Arrival Form, complete the form and submit your arrival information directly to the international program director. A school official with ILFE (Institut de Langue Française) with your name on a sign will be waiting at the airport lobby (right after the customs area) or at the train station (in the hallway between the telephone booths, coming down from the platform). Students should wait where they are until the school van arrives to pick the up. In either case there is no charge for transportation on your first arrival or for your final departure.

The fastest and most reliable method of getting to the campus either from the Geneva airport or train station is by cab. The fare is about 50 Swiss francs. Although it is never requested, a 10% tip is expected if the driver helps you load or unload your luggage, otherwise this is not expected. Also it is possible to go to Collonges by bus and tram. At the Geneva airport take the train shuttle to Cornavin railway station. At the station take the tram # 13 to Rondeau de Carouge, then the bus # 44 or # 45 to the Croix de Rozon douane (the French-Swiss border). The bus and tram ride costs about 5 Swiss francs. Walk across the border to Collonges-sous-Salève. From there you can walk 1.5 miles up to the campus. Remember, it is uphill, strenuous, and not realistic with luggage. Students find the city of Geneva readily accessible. It is possible to buy a multi-fare pass in Geneva for trams and buses.
