ACADEMIC YEAR OVERVIEW: International Campus Course Enrollment
Most ACA programs are not organized in the same manner that colleges and universities are in the United States and Canada. The same 'elective system' is not always possible. Three of the international campuses are a collection of elementary, secondary, language, commercial, and theology programs. As a result, there is not a wide spectrum of college-level electives that a student may choose from, if any. Programs are very structured and although there are courses in other humanities subjects than the language itself, they are limited in number and generally are in art, history, religion, and music. Multiple sections of the same course are usually not available, and student schedules are very clearly structured depending on students' language abilities. International School language programs are designed to provide the most efficient combination of courses, the best learning methods and to prepare students for external examinations.
